I fell in love with cooking when I was 18. That was the first time I worked for a brilliant chef, chef Ky; who exposed me to flavors I could have never imagined. I recognized an opportunity to live well beyond my own means - if I could learn how to cook the best ingredients and dishes in the world, my loved ones and I could eat like royalty. The more I learn, the more excited I am to share it.
I earned much of my formal culinary education through my enlistment as an Airborne (92G) Culinary Specialist in 10th Special Forces Group in Ft Carson, CO. There, I received accreditations in Culinary Arts as well as Pastry Arts. I also became a certified butcher, was certified to teach Servsafe classes, and was the honor graduate of my Culinary Arts program.
Since transitioning out of the military, I have served as an executive chef 3 times - working professionally on both US coasts and throughout the Midwest. What I most enjoyed about being the leader of a team was teaching. I use cooking as a metaphor to teach young chefs about life, and how to become better versions of yourself regularly.

The food will talk to you, if you listen. Your results will tell you where your strengths and weaknesses are, what you have done right and wrong. It is our choice to reflect on and grow from each repetition. To become a better chef, one must become a better listener.
Throughout my 15 year culinary career, I have had the privilege to cook for 5 star generals, decorated military officers, Green Berets, Navy Seals, professional NFL, NBA, NHL, UFC, WNBA, and MLS athletes, world-class artists and musicians, household-name entertainers, renowned executive chefs, Boeing and Amazon CEO's, and now you.
